As education continues to become more important for a person’s career, more large-scale companies across the United States have begun implementing new education programs for their employees. The education programs not only allow employees to go to school to complete a degree but also partially or fully covers the tuition costs as well. These programs have quickly proven to be beneficial, with countless workers around the United States taking advantage of their company’s education programs. Who are some of the biggest companies that are creating education programs for their employees?

Starbucks

After being first introduced in 2014, Starbucks helped to pave the way for education programs and partnerships through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan. The Starbucks College Achievement Plan provides Starbucks employees with the opportunity not only to earn their bachelor’s degree but to receive full tuition coverage for the program. The plan works alongside Arizona State University to admit employees into their top-ranked online degree program. Through the online program, Starbucks employees can complete the bachelor’s degree of their choice through ASU’s online program. With 80 different online programs available, Starbucks employees can find a degree that is right for them and their future vision.

Like Starbucks, well-known grocery store, Publix has also created a program that helps employees pay for their college degree. For employees who have worked at the company for at least six months are eligible to apply for the tuition reimbursement program. The program is available for employees taking individual courses, participating in occupational programs, or participating in a bachelor’s program. For employees who are attending a university, Public will reimburse them for up to $3,200 annually, or up to $12,800 altogether.

Bank Of America

Bank Of America has joined the list of major companies that provide tuition reimbursement for both part-time and full-time employees. Anyone who has worked with the bank for at least six months and a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible to apply to the reimbursement program. As part of the program, employees can get up to $5,250 per the calendar year to help cover tuition, books, and courses.

By providing a program like this, companies are ensuring that their employees are as prepared as possible for their future careers.
